The verdict
The DKN Studio 7400 is the compact machine to beat. DKN is a more established fitness brand than most of the budget field, and here it has fitted an 80kg stack and a double pulley into a footprint of just 165 by 105cm. The station set is complete, a dual-action chest station with chest press and pec deck, high and low pulleys, an adjustable preacher pad, a one-piece butterfly press and a leg curl.
At a 64kg shipping weight it is lighter to handle and position than the heavyweight machines, it takes users up to 120kg, and it carries a two-year warranty with EU spare-part availability, which is reassuring at this price. At £499 on Amazon it is a lot of capable, space-conscious machine, with the main caveat being that support runs through Amazon rather than a specialist retailer.

The appeal of the 7400 is getting a proper 80kg of resistance and a full station set without giving up the room a big all-rounder needs. The dual-action chest station covers both chest press and pec deck, and the high and low pulleys, adjustable preacher pad, butterfly press and leg curl round out a complete home workout. The double pulley system and micro cable adjustment keep the action smooth.
All of that sits in a 165 by 105cm footprint, which is genuinely spare-room friendly, and at 64kg to ship it is easier to move into place than the 150kg-plus heavyweights.
Brand, warranty and support
DKN is a recognised fitness brand, which matters at this end of the market where a lot of machines come from anonymous sellers. The two-year warranty and stated two-year EU spare-part availability back that up. The trade-off is that it is sold through Amazon, so support and returns run through Amazon and the seller rather than a specialist fitness retailer.
Who it is for
Buy the DKN Studio 7400 if you want a proper 80kg stack and a full set of stations but do not have room for a big all-rounder. If you need the full 100kg, look at the York Perform or adidas Performance, and if budget is tighter than space, the York Aspire 420 costs less but offers a smaller 45kg stack.
